Error 404--Not Found

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.5 404 Not Found

The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.

Juniper Practice Lab

Enhance your Juniper configuration skills, increase your knowledge of the IS-IS protocol, and learn how to configure it on Juniper routers.
Enhance your Juniper configuration skills, increase your knowledge of the IS-IS protocol, and learn how to configure it on Juniper routers. 30 core and 3 optional objectives are included. Topics covered include: Summarizing between Level 1 and Level 2, filtering between Level 1 and Level 2, route leaking from Level 2 to Level 1, wide-metrics, mesh-groups, DISes, IGP shortcuts, injecting LSPs into ISIS, ISIS multicast topology, and ISIS authentication. Sub-topics covered include: PIM-DM, IGMP, MPLS, RSVP, VRRP, static routes, aggregate routes, and generate routes. The goal of this practice lab is to increase the test takers knowledge of the ISIS protocol and to familiarize them with virtually all the configuration commands available in JUNOS for ISIS. The intent of this lab is not to familiarize the test taker with the JNCIE lab. There are two approaches that can be taken by one studying for the JNCIE, one is to study only for the JNCIE and hope to pass it in spite of a lack of skills, another is to increase your skills and in so doing bring yourself up to par with what is expected of a JNCIE. This lab supports those you have chosen the second route. Through use of this practice lab and by expanding on the concepts presented you will be on the road to mastering configuration of the ISIS protocol on Juniper routers. Because it is not likely that most test takers will have a large practice lab it was decided to only use six Juniper routers for the lab. Additionally, given that the pics that each test taker has available probably vary the lab uses only Ethernet links, this should allow the greatest number of test takers to take advantage of this practice lab. The optional objectives are included for those test takers that have access to point-to-point links in addition to Ethernet. The lab itself is designed to highlight the ISIS configuration issues, not to mimic a real-world network.

Required hardware:

  • 3 Juniper routers with 2 Ethernet ports (a single 4-port FA pic will work nicely)
  • 3 Juniper routers with 3 Ethernet ports (a single 4-port FA pic will work nicely) The optional objectives require 3 of the Juniper routers to have 2 point-to-point interfaces.

Any kind will work as long as they are consistent throughout (all ATM, or all SONET, etc). JUNOS version for the practice lab: 5.2
I would estimate that this lab will take a good six hours to complete. Some of the objectives are extremely tricky so do not feel bad if you have to view the hints or even peak at the answers when you get to a dead end. For any questions or for feedback do not hesitate to contact the author.
