Cisco this week established its Virtual Computing Environment coalition with EMC and subsidiary VMware, which the network vendor says will develop new products to help large and midsize customers adopt internal cloud computing environments. Manjula Talreja, vice president of business development at the Strategic Partner Organization for Cisco, says this collaboration won't impact previous Cisco partners nor will it result in proprietary data centers for customers.
