Protecting data inside and outside the network

How do you protect data on the network for inside threats or keep it safe even outside the corporate boundaries? Enterprise Rights Management (ERM) may hold the key. Like digital rights management (DRM) for music, ERM helps control access and rights to data wherever it resides.
