Potential VoIP security pitfalls

Krishna KurapatiVoice over IP gets a lot of attention surrounding provisioning bandwidth and ensuring call quality. But one area that tends to get overlooked is security. Looking to shed more light on the VoIP security issue is Sipera Systems and its VIPER Labs group, which has reported on a number of SIP-related vulnerabilities over the past few months. Network World's Jason Meserve talks with Sipera Systems' founder and CTO Krishna Kurapati about potential VoIP security pitfalls and what users can do to protect themselves. (19:40)
