Jason picks 1 & 2By Anonymous on March 10, 2009, 1:07 pmI'm not going to reference the specifics picks b/c I listened in my car and don't have time to go through it again - but as it relates to picks #1 and #2 by Jason, I think you're missing the boat on existing technology. #1 - have you checked out Jing? Made by the folks who offer the full training suite Camtasia Studio and support the screencast.com site, Jing is a free version of a screencasting product that should enable you to do what you were talking about. They've got a pro version at cost w/ some extras. I use the free version and save screencasts online (for free) and my history is maintained there. Great product. http://blog.jingproject.com/2009/03/top-10-things-to-do-with-jings.html #2 - c'mnon! You boys from MA (or close to) don't know about Logmein? I'm sure that's not right, you must know about logmein - the Waltham based company that makes a free version of remote control software. Sure, they have pay versions to and yes, you do have to install a plugin but I challenge you that it's any more complex to install than the one you referenced. Gets right through a NAT with no issues so my Mother-in-laws private address is not a problem. If fact, we use the FREE version in a tech support role and can access and manage many remote control sessions with lots of extended features - pay version gets you even more. www.logmein.com Nat Baltimore, MD
