THE CHAMPIONSHIP: It's all over. Michael Dell is the "Most Powerful in Networking." Dell defeated Brocade's Greg Reyes in heavy voting. Details

Road to the finals

How they got here

Michael Dell, the #2-seed in Layer 4, made his way to the finals by beating Counterpane's Bruce Scheier, GE's Gary Reiner, the FCC's Michael Powell, his own VPs - the tag-team duo of Russ Holt and Randy Groves, and Cisco's Mario Mazzola.

Greg Reyes, the #13-seed in Layer 3, made it to the finals by winning matches against HP's Carly Fiorina, "Father of the Internet" Vint Cerf, Sun's Scott McNealy, the IETF's Harald Alvestrand and Nokia's Pekka Ala-Pietila.

Reyes competition on the road to the finals seems a little tougher, but Dell has his own TV pitchman (The Dell Guy.) Who will win? The voting begins Tuesday, Feb. 19.
