Network World Continues To Be Honored With ASBPE and Tabbie Awards For Editorial Excellence

SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. – August 16, 2004 –Network World, the leading Network IT media company, announced today that it received four regional and national editorial awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) and seven "Tabbie" awards for editorial excellence in a new competition sponsored by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI).

Network World received two bronze national awards from the ASBPE, as well as gold and bronze northeastern regional awards. Network World won national awards in the special supplement category for "The Federal Agenda: Top Priorities" and in the technical article category for "Spam in the Wild". The Federal Agenda: Top Priorities was recognized for its coverage of the 12% increase in the government's IT budget and the new level of accountability associated with it. Spam in the Wild provided the results of a test of 16 anti-spam products that were run on a production network during the month of June. Network World is a previous winner in the ASBPE competition of prior years. ASBPE recognizes editors who have developed top-quality editorial and design.

For the inaugural TABPI Tabbie competition, Network World garnered seven editorial awards from a field of almost 300 entries submitted by publishers from North America, Europe and Asia. Tabbie awards recognize design and editorial excellence in English-language business publications around the world. Network World received awards in seven of the 12 editorial categories.
