IDG Publications Reach More Technology Buyers and Influencers than Competitors
Nearly Four Million Business Influencers Read One or More IDG Titles
October 7, 2005 – Boston, MA -- International Data Group (IDG) far outdistances its competitors in reaching technology buyers and influencers. According to the 2005 IntelliQuest CIMS Business Influencer Study, the combined reach of CIO, Computerworld, InfoWorld, Network World and PC World is nearly four million technology business influencers (1). IDG reaches over two million more business influencers than CMP Media (2) and nearly one million more than Ziff Davis (3).

Net Reach to Corporate IT Influencers
The IntelliQuest study shows that corporate IT professionals are the most important influencers in the purchase of technology and that IDG is the undisputed leader in reaching these individuals. IDG reaches 44 percent more IT influencers than CMP Media and 48 percent more IT influencers than Ziff Davis.

As IT spending rebounds, technology advertisers want to reach the “big spenders.” IDG delivers 63 percent of all corporate IT influencers spending over $500,000 and 66 percent of IT influencers spending over $1 million. IDG reaches 40 percent more big spenders than CMP Media and nearly 60 percent more big spenders than Ziff Davis.
