IT Roadmap joins together enterprise decision makers with top IT analysts, vendors and Network World editors in a comprehensive, one-day information exchange focused around six mission-critical IT topics. IT Roadmap: Boston, the first event in the series, will take place March 20 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel and is sponsored by top names in IT including Akamai, Dell, Fluke Networks, Microsoft, Mirapoint, Orbital Data, Packeteer and many others. IT Roadmap conferences will occur quarterly and take place in Chicago, Dallas, and the San Francisco Bay Area in 2006. “IT professionals are busy folks,” said John Gallant, president and editorial director of Network World. “A typical day for them includes securing the network against hackers, ensuring system uptime, supporting applications, and maintaining databases - all while reacting to myriad user issues that arise over the course of a given day. Readers of Network World have asked for an end-user strategy conference that delivers actionable content – in other words, a live-action version of our magazine. IT Roadmap answers that request.” The IT Roadmap series grew out of and compliments Network World Live’s phenomenally successful Technology Tour program. IT Roadmap encompasses high involvement from Network World's top editorial team, insightful perspectives from respected industry analysts, valuable case studies from IT buyers and presentations from the top technology solutions providers. Each IT Roadmap conference explores six topic areas identified as the highest priorities to network IT decision-makers as they plan improvements and allocate IT budgets for their companies.
