Description: Nokia gets a "B" for this implementation of a PDA-like device. It comes with a host of different applications and functions built in (including an MP3 player and 2 megapixel digital camera), but while the key features for most of us are e-mail and telephone calls, it's nothing extraordinary. The operating system seemed to be easy to navigate and understand, but the touch controls were cramped and I often experienced delays. They also could have done better with the keyboard and application control buttons, they didn't seem well defined or separated enough for easy typing and navigation.

Integration with Microsoft Exchange was similar to a Microsoft Smartphone, and held up to the acceptable e-mail standards when moving away from a BlackBerry, but also didn't offer any new features.

I was impressed with the device's battery life and Wi-Fi capabilities. With a complex PDA, battery life is hard to maintain, and Nokia does an excellent job with the E61i. Wi-Fi connectivity was easy to enable, allowing for network scanning and configuring for fast data transfer when Wi-Fi signals were available.
