Description: The Pandigital 11-inch LCD digital picture frame could pass for a more traditional frame with its black finish and faux matting.
The unit comes with 256MB of onboard storage, a USB port for copying files from a PC, a USB host port for thumb drives, an SD port and a Compact Flash card slot. You
don't need a PC to view photos on the frame. In addition to viewing photos, you can also play songs through the frame's speakers
or watch videos. An alarm clock and calendar feature lets you wake up to your favorite songs, and you can also program the
frame to turn on only when you are home, saving energy.
We were able to get more than 300 1600- by 1200-pixel JPEG images on the unit without problem. The display is crisp and there
are a number of options for browsing the photos, including slideshows with multiple transition types. There's a remote control
included for couch-based browsing.
In addition to the 11-inch version, Pandigital sells digital photo frames in other sizes and capacities, so if the 11-inch
version seems too large or pricey, you can try other smaller models, or move to the 15-inch version if you want to see bigger
photos displayed.
