The following proposal is submitted to Abbig Corporation for a remote access server (RAS) solution for the central side of the Abbig corporate network. The proposed system will provide remote access to 20% of Abbig Corporation's 30,000 employees to work remotely either part time or full time. Where ever possible the proposed system incorporates fault tolerance and security to ensure unauthorized users are not allowed into the network. Management of the system can be centrally established or via IP network anywhere in the world. This added flexibility adds to the proposed system's value and scalability while still network managers with a full set of usage statistics.Product Recommendations
The Multi-Tech hardware recommendations are for the central site to include a minimum of two CommPlete Communications Servers (Model CC9600s) with all four segments loaded with loaded with ISDN-PRI in each segment. A CommPlete Communications Server equipped with four PRI segments can handle 92 concurrent callers. Each branch office would require one CommPlete Communications Server with all four segments loaded with ISDN-PRI in each segment. This equipment estimate is based on the following:- Branch Offices
