We invited all major SSL VPN vendors to participate in our review. Seven companies agreed to participate. Additionally, Array Networks and Aventail signed on, but then withdrew because of product release cycles.
Check Point, Cisco and Permeo turned us down because their product offerings weren't a good fit for our review criteria. NetScaler, Netsilica, Nortel, Rainbow Technologies and Yo all have products that would have fit into our review, but elected not to participate.
This is a rapidly changing market. During our review period, Neoteris was bought by NetScreen Technologies and SafeWeb by Symantec. F5 Networks purchased Uroam just before our review started. Aspelle also closed its doors while we planned the review.
