Foundry's 10G Ethernet Throughput
Foundry's MG8 high-end switch delivered line-rate throughput in pure 10G Ethernet and backbone tests. However, throughput was less than line rate on the beta versions of the 40-port gigabit Ethernet cards we tested.

Foundry's 10G Delay
Delay and jitter for Foundry’s MG8 were low in every test configuration. That’s especially impressive considering we measured the 10G Ethernet and backbone configurations at line rate, compared with a 10 percent load in earlier tests.

*Tests of 40-port cards measured delay at 10 percent offered load; all other measured delay at the throughput level.
