Network World - We installed the IPsonar EliteBook server on a network consisting of six Fast Ethernet subnet domains connected via Cisco routers and T1, Frame Relay and DSL Internet links.
Client and server platforms were Windows XP/NT/2000/2003/Vista/Win 7, RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 and Macintosh 10.6. Relational databases on the network were Oracle 8i, IBM DB2 Universal Database, Sybase Adaptive Server and Microsoft SQL Server. Web servers were IIS and Apache, while e-mail servers were Exchange and SendMail.
We evaluated IPsonar's ability to help a network administrator discover, identify, document, map and measure a network.
