matterBy clarkntl on November 13, 2009, 12:05 pmMost people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a network with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives.

N- NovellBy Anonymous on March 16, 2008, 11:12 amNetworkworld: your foot is in your mouth... As an old (pathetic?) IT person, on the phone endlessly with Microsoft server support, I can say that Novell STILL is superior to Microsoft for reliable and secure networks. Now, one can say that I am on the phone a lot with their support department because I may not follow the book on how to do things right. But this is to the contrary. Microsoft is like the US Gov, one project is the darling of a ton of resources and money, and the next moment, it is off the radar leaving uses as debuggers. This holds true for M$ SERVER class products. How is it that I can have a vanilla 2003 server install with security like Nod32 and MS REQUIRED patches insists on loading monthly malicious software removal tools, as well as force unnecessary and interruptive reboots? The list is HUGE as to why they mess up. I have to make registry changes to fix their patch roll-outs. Novell just runs and runs. For YEARS. Novell is now moving to Suse, with the same ideal in mind. Is it old, but the technology still matters.
"V" for VistaBy Anonymous on December 21, 2007, 3:15 pm"V" for Vista, as it's M$'s worst os since WinME, and of course the Zune, i had almost forgot it ever existed!!
