IE8 - Blew my machine upBy Anonymous on March 10, 2008, 8:46 amAfter installing the Beta version of this product, I had to reformat my system. Kept getting the Send/Don't Send message from Microsoft, could not correct this error. Try to uninstall this product - NO WAY!!! The best and easiest fix for this is to format your entire system. Man, better work the bugs out before this is put out on the market. Jim
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 Beta slideshowBy Anonymous on March 7, 2008, 4:07 pm
This is a cool preview of the features of Internet Explorer 8. Other new features that people (like blogger Alex Lewis) seem to be talking about are Activities, WebSlices, Favorites Bar, ACR - Automatic Crash Recovery, Improved Phishing filter.

IE 8 is terribleBy Anonymous on July 23, 2008, 4:21 amIt has many memory references in my dell laptop. It does not execute most of the ajax scripts and java scripts. It hangs and does not allow the process to be killed. Two browser instances are shown which consume 50% cpu each not allowing us to use any other programs.
All you have to look at isBy Anonymous on March 10, 2008, 9:22 amAll you have to look at is Slide 4 to know that this is one horrible release of a browser.
All you have to look at isBy Anonymous on May 29, 2008, 3:11 pm
That's something of a silly comment that clearly illustrates your lack of understanding. Slide 4 looks horrible because Google Maps is assuming that the browser requires the IE7 workarounds for layout; which, of course, it doesn't. Until site owners update their sites to supply the correct markup to IE8, this problem is going to arise. But the issue is with the site, not the browser. Thankfully, Microsoft have the IE7 compatibility mode as a workaround. Or perhaps IE8 should announce itself as Firefox in order the get fed the right markup? No, didn't think so.
