RE: 10 IT management companies to watch: A product roundupBy Anonymous on November 3, 2008, 4:06 pm10 to watch if you have $20,000+ dollars to spend! This is just more of the same stuff, repackaged. We're seeing IT budgets being frozen and spending cut all across the board. IT departments are being asked to increase productivity and reduce cost without spending any money. These products, each with a considerable narrow, silo view into operations don't really add to the bottom line nor provide a clear ROI.
Our solution reporting features includes the features found in most of these TOP 10 to watch solutions and costs a fraction of all of these, capping out at under 10K for even the largest implementation, while for most costing a few thousand dollars. The ROI is realized almost from the first time it's used.

RE: 10 IT management companies to watch: A product roundupBy Anonymous on November 3, 2008, 6:26 pmA lot of the same yet a lot of different variations; some of which are necessary updates. Now we're seeing more SaaS and mid-market focused solutions. These are great since enterprise companies are consumed with achieving Big 4 suite utopia (good luck).
ITIL & BSM are big of course and it's great to see a company like Apptio make the list with their focus on IT financial management - very ITIL v3. Another ITIL v3 company is newScale, who focuses on IT Service and Portfolio Catalog. They didn't make the list but are definitely one to watch.
