I had a similar idea to thisBy Anonymous on December 2, 2008, 2:09 pmI had a similar idea to this a long time ago. However, my idea involved chucking that big clunky keyboard for a virtual. That way the phone would still stay small enough to slip in your pocket without feeling like you're toting a brick around.
Yes, oh gawd yesBy Anonymous on November 28, 2008, 9:51 pmThe biggest problem with mobile devices (aside from the absolutely HORRIFIC AT&T network) is screen real estate, bulk and weight. Any thing that addresses those issues and is welcome.
I had an i-phone 3g for 5 days, then I realized that I might actually want to make a call sometime. returned the i-phone and got a different phone (at the at&t associates urging.) It wasn't the phone, it was the network. Thankfully there was a 30 day out clause on the contract.
The App Store makes it fail.By Anonymous on November 28, 2008, 5:32 pmThe App Store makes it fail. Windows Mobile might be a slow buggy POS, but I can go and get apps RIGHT NOW, and it all doesnt have to be approved by Apple. This means I can actually get stuff which does a better job of things like mail and contact handling - making WinMo no longer slow or buggy.
Win!
Folding phoneBy Anonymous on November 28, 2008, 5:25 pmThe design you showed for the smart phone lacks the transitional brilliance needed to push things into a new field, the iPhone is huge because it was the first to make everything about the touchscreen, if you wanna make everything about the folding screen do this; have an iPhone-like design (yes I know, you don't like the non-tactile interface, I'm sorry, but it is the future (its cheaper)), but then allow it to fold in the middle, the two biggest problems about the design of the iPhone are; 1 you have no way to cover and protect the screen naturally, such as say a flip phone, and 2, it really is large and bulky. Cut the thickness in half, then make it fold down the middle, and somehow keep the OS you showed in the screen shots (damn that looked inviting, exp. Firefox) and you would win the market.

Put a physical keyboard on it, instead of what looks like a virtual keyboard (the HTC Touch Pro might be an ideal layout).
Put Android on it.
Give it T-Mobile-USA 3G. Then I'll probably buy it.
If they put 2 SIM cards in it, and it has both AT&T 3G and T-Mobile-USA 3G, then I'd definitely buy it.
Phones look great but...By Anonymous on November 28, 2008, 12:11 pmA phone's design isn't necessarily what I'm looking for. The iPhone looks good but it's the App Store that makes it. The G1 is in many ways a better designed phone, but without the app store and a dev community pumping out great games it won't cut it.
If this phone had a great OS and an embedded app store I'd be all for it. But if it's just going to be another carrier controlled system, get out of town.
RE: Folding screen for mobile phones unveiledBy Anonymous on November 28, 2008, 11:42 amHurry up man, we should have had this 2 years ago.
