The Penril ModemI remember I bought a Penril modem once - 2400baud async IIRC. I never could get it to work and got into a terrible argument with their umm, Customer Support. I think I eventually managed to get it exchanged by the retailer because I was pretty sure the company knew their product was a brick.

These days, we would say "play boy" to mean the same thing.
