That guy will never amount to anythingAlways fun to look back and then say, "Where are they now?" You might be some dork in a Radio Shack Tandy ad (slide 18), or you might be the freakin' richest man in America. Let's all point and laugh.

That guy will never amount to anythingBy Anonymous on November 10, 2009, 8:53 amAlways fun to look back and then say, "Where are they now?" You might be some dork in a Radio Shack Tandy ad (slide 18), or you might be the freakin' richest man in America. Let's all point and laugh.
no kiddingBy Anonymous on November 10, 2009, 8:48 am(slide 4) not only the tattoo, but the hairy arm itself! And the bald patch! Today there'd be no hair visible anywhere.
hahahaBy Anonymous on November 10, 2009, 8:35 amcheck out the tat on his arm!
Interruptive AdBy Anonymous on November 13, 2009, 11:16 amLoved (not!) the Citrix ad you plopped in the middle of the count and set up so it wouldn't go away.
They're realBy Anonymous on November 13, 2009, 9:21 amWho was Sabrina in slide 6? She's not a teenage witch, and she's clearly not Audrey Hepburn from the 1954 movie. A few minutes of research on the intertubes turns up the following: "Norma Sykes D.Litt (Hon) is the voluptuous British lass who became Sabrina and accomplished above the hips what Elvis accomplished below. ... She was a 'dumb blonde' who was a genius at self-promotion, an ill-educated teenager because of lengthy hospital stays, and an honorary Doctor of Letters with an impossibly-proportioned figure." http://nylon.net/sabrina/
wowBy Anonymous on November 11, 2009, 9:56 pmSabrina........nice floppy drives......
Floppy driveBy Anonymous on November 17, 2009, 1:51 pmNo, I think that was Roger Moore holding the floppy joystick
Daisy GunsBy Anonymous on November 11, 2009, 11:45 am"Family values just aren't the same these days." Heh. Tell me about it. Families are stocking up on real guns these days.
Daisy?By Anonymous on November 12, 2009, 4:17 pmBack then we didn't have to stock up as most families already had at least a rifle and shotgun. I had my own 22 cal rifle and 16 ga shotgun by the time I was 14. OTOH they were for hunting, not defending my territory.
Missed referencesBy Anonymous on November 11, 2009, 11:24 amExcellent stuff! in #21, Sir Roger Moore wasn't James Bond in those days - he was "The Saint", hence the higher standard verbage made sense. in #25, the badly done allusion was to a common phrase in the 40's "lady killer". These days, we would say "play boy" to mean the same thing.
Dates?By Anonymous on November 11, 2009, 9:26 amNice, but it would have been nice to see the dates of the ads
The Penril ModemBy Scunnerous on November 11, 2009, 1:09 amI remember I bought a Penril modem once - 2400baud async IIRC. I never could get it to work and got into a terrible argument with their umm, Customer Support. I think I eventually managed to get it exchanged by the retailer because I was pretty sure the company knew their product was a brick.
