Best BlackBerry apps of 2009 By Anonymous on November 12, 2009, 3:21 pmRight then; how absolutely pathetic of an offering of the Best of 2009 for all of those hapless chaps who weren't smart enough to choose for themselves or convincing enough to compel their boss to get them a proper Smart Phone like the iPhone or Droid (or anything but a RIM or PALM job). PUN INTENDED! Thanks for confirming my logicI used in maing my Smart Phone decision.
Contacts CleanerBy Anonymous on January 25, 2010, 1:06 amI'm thinking that every Blackberry user needs this. It eliminates all of your duplicate addresses. If you have your point of contact listed three times, this simple piece of software will combine all of the data and just put them into one record. It's a huge time saver! You can get it on App World:

Was that a joke?By Anonymous on January 6, 2010, 2:04 amYou seriously expect any self-respecting business to provide it's people with toys like iPhones, rather than a real productivity device? Research in Motion is not dedicated to pleasing kids who want a phone that goes: "Zomg liek i got an app that times mah laundry!".
RIM and PALM are both interested in business, hence why in my line of work, government. BlackBerry is the device of choice. The federal government isn't going to supply you a music player, they'll supply you a mobile productivity device...So a BlackBerry, not an "iPhone".
these are really the best apps you could find?By Anonymous on November 12, 2009, 4:11 pmMost of these are junk--games and music players. The BlackBerry is a serious business smartphone, how about some serious business apps?
Killer AppBy jrose187 on November 12, 2009, 3:57 pmThe one application I couldn't do w/o is Viigo (http://viigo.com/). RSS reader / news aggregator, it keeps me in touch with all of the things that I'm interested in, wherever I'm at.
My favorite bb appBy Anonymous on November 12, 2009, 3:50 pmWell, the anonymous fellow above is clearly a personal user only as the blackberry is far and away the best smart phone for corporate users. It may not be the coolest right now and I agree that the iphone dominates as a personal smart phone but for business professionals, there is only one choice...Blackberry.
Anyway, back to the topic of this article. My favorite new app that should be on this list is Pandora mobile. I love it. Free streaming music that sounds great even on my curve 8310 that only has EDGE coverage and not 3G.
It uses the same account as the web version of Pandora so all of your stations carry over.
I use an aux input in my truck to listen while on the road - better than XM (as long as I have data coverage) and free!
