Description: The Axiom M3 is widely considered to be one of the best values in bookshelf speakers today.

The sound from these compact bookshelf speakers is crisp and balanced, with a slight warm haze. With a 6.5-inch aluminum woofer and a 1-inch titanium tweeter, these are in a different class from the Sony and JBL speakers that commonly occupy this price range and class. Clean, deep bass and smooth highs are the result.

I tested these speakers with a variety of test materials connected to a middle-range Onkyo receiver, and they held their own against my Klipsch Reference Series floor-standing speakers that stood right below these. While not as efficient as the Klipsch, these are above average in power efficiency and will easily be powered by even the weakest home theater receivers.

For someone in the market for a compact speaker either for music or a home theater, these should be high on your list. Available in multiple cabinets and grille combinations and packing above-average performance, these will certainly not disappoint.
