Description: Everything is going green, including computer monitors. Lenovo's massive 24-inch LCD display (1920 x 1200 resolution) ups the green ante with recyclable packaging (no Styrofoam!), 33% less mercury and can operate at 50% lower power consumption to similar brands. All good things for those of you that are environmentally conscious but still want a honking big display for your computer. We have no means of testing the power consumption or figuring out how much mercury is in the unit, but the fact that virtually all the accompanying packaging can be thrown in the recycling bin is a great thing.

As for the monitor itself, it's a pleasure to look at. Text is sharp and readable, and graphics look great. Plus, the on-screen real estate makes it big enough to replace a dual-display setup. The one annoyance is the screen brightness setting, which dims in and out depending on what window is open and the colors being displayed. This is probably part of the energy-saving features, but it does take a little getting used to.

Still, this is a very nice display at a very nice price with some Earth-friendly features as a bonus.
