Description: I've been a fan of Logitech's MX series of laser mice for a few years, so it's no surprise I also like the newest model, the MX1100 Cordless Laser Mouse. This is a high-end performance mouse for users who expect more from their mouse than just navigation. If you're one of those users who like to right-click and customize buttons to perform certain tasks, then this mouse is made for you.
The mouse is designed to support the natural curved shape of your hand (honestly, most mice these days are designed that way). The mouse is very solid, I probably wouldn't use this as a travel mouse, this is really designed to be stationary.
The 2.4GHz wireless mouse features a MicroGear Precision scroll wheel that lets you spin through longer documents and Web pages by flicking the wheel instead of the normal "click-to-scroll" mode on regular mice – this really is only good if you have very long documents or Web pages to muddle through. An advanced feature is the ability to change the DPI settings on the laser mouse, with up to 1600 dpi for customized precision (especially good for users who need the precision, the average user probably wouldn't care about their DPI setting).
Logitech says it has improved the battery life of the mouse to last up to nine months, and it includes a battery-indicator light to tell you when it's time to switch batteries. An on/off switch on the bottom of the mouse helps save power as well.
