Apple fanatics turned out in droves yet again to buy the company's latest phones. In Tokyo's Omentasando district, the Softbank store hosted a big countdown for the phone, complete with a humanoid robot named Pepper that greeted shopers. The first in line, a man who goes by the name Butch said he'd been waiting since Tuesday for the phone. He and the others who had been waiting needed to put up with the threat of mosquitoes carrying Dengue fever, the first outbreak in Japan in nearly 70 years.
In Boston, hundreds braved the cold weather to get their hands on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. The first person in line in Boston had been waiting for almost a week.

People in New York got in line so early that I thought people would be in line early here, but they didn't get in line until yesterday.
Others who waited were looking to buy the iPhone 6 Plus because of its large 5.5 inch screen

The 6 Plus definitely. Way bigger. Probably get my iPad out of the way.

I like the bigger screen and longer battery life. Especially in my profession, I wont' have to bring out my iPad anymore when I'm showing something to clients
Apple's new phones have larger screens than any of the previous devices at 4.7 and 5.5 inches. The phones start at 200 dollars in the US with a two year contract. The phone will go on sale in a number of other countries on September 26.
