A recent report from Spherion shows that 70% of IT workers are confident about their job security. What's more, close to half of those polled in the first quarter of 2006 said they were likely to hunt for a new job. This is up 34% from the fourth quarter of 2005.
Spherion's IT Confidence Index rose 1.6 points from Q4 2005 to Q1 2006 to reach 75.1. Likewise, the U.S. Employee Confidence Index also increased, which indicates that the job market increasingly favors employees. For the full details on the survey results, go here.
