80 gigs in your pocket

The latest in the "take all your data with you" storage drive is I/OMagic's GigaBank Premier 80, a 2.5-inch IDE hard disk drive that features about 80G-bytes of storage capacity and connects to the USB port of a desktop or notebook. The company says the GigaBank Premier 80 is now available for about $200 retail.
The handheld storage drive is powered through a USB 2.0 port (although USB 1.1 is supported) and requires no batteries. A button on the device lets users automatically transfer files from a computer to the device, for backup purposes or to just transfer files from one computer to another. The GigaBank is hot swappable, which means it can be plugged into or unplugged from a computer while it is still on, and supports systems with Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000 and XP. More details are at the I/OMagic Web site.
