I/OMagic combines floppy drive with media card reader

IOMagic-Datastation2.jpgStorage vendor I/OMagic today launched its DataStation 2 device, a USB 2.0 external floppy drive that also includes a 7-in-1 media card reader. The DataStation 2 is now available for $59.99 at I/OMagic's Web site.

The device can read floppy disks of 720K-byte, 1.2M-byte and 1.44M-byte capacity, as well as Compact Flash, IBM Microdrive, MultiMedia Card, Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and SmartMedia memory cards. The system is powered through the computer's USB 2.0 port and is compatible with Windows XP, ME and 98SE systems.
