USB Wi-Fi adapter for $40

PRISMIQ Inc. today announced availability of its Mini-Fi device, a USB 2.0 wireless 802.11b/g adapter. The Mini-Fi costs $39.95 and can be ordered through PRISMIQ's Web site.
The MiniFi device plugs into a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port to provide wireless Internet access to a PC or notebook. PRISMIQ says the device, about the size of a pack of gum, is backwards compliant with all 802.11b and 802.11b+ wireless equipment.
Security features include support for 64-, 128- and 256-bit WEP encryption, as well as Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) support. The device works with Windows 98 SE, 2000, ME and XP systems.
