In conjunction with its recent announcement of its new xD-Picture Card, Fujifilm yesterday touted five new Finepix digital cameras that would be able to use the card. See recent Daily Dose item for more information on the xD-Picture Card.
The new cameras -- the FinePix A200, FinePix A2650, FinePix A203, FinePix A303 and FinePix 3800, will be available in September in retail locations, Fujifilm said.
The A200 and 2650 will be targeted at first-time digital camera users, with a look and feel of a traditional camera with extra digital features. The cameras have 2.0 megapixel resolution, and can take pictures up to 8 by 10 inches. For the 2650, users can add a 3x optical zoom. The A200 will cost $179.95 and the A2650 will cost $249.99.
The A203 and A303 are slim models targeted at entry-level digital photographers who want to upgrade. The A203 is a 2.0 megapixel camera, and the A303 is a 3.24 megapixel camera. Both cameras have 3x optical zoom and videoconferencing features. The A303 also has a macro focus for shooting up-close images and an added flash range. The A203 will cost $279.99 and the A303 will cost $349.99.
Finally, the new FinePix 3800 is a 3.24 megapixel camera that has high-end photography features including a manual mode with aperture control and exposure compensation, a 6x optical zoom, and support for lens adapters, Fujifilm said. The 3800 will cost $449.99.
