In case you were wondering what the newest Dell models were, here you go. The company recently announced the Dimension 4500 and 4500S.

Dell Dimension 4500 The Dimension 4500 includes a CPU processor at speeds up to 2.26GHz, up to 1G-byte DDR SDRAM, six integrated USB 2.0 ports, and hard drive options of 20G, 40G, 80G or 120G bytes. Also optional are optical drives that can include a DVD+RW/CD-RW combination drive, a DVD+RW/+R and DVD ROM/CD-RW combination drive, a CD-RW drive, a DVD-ROM drive or a 48x CD-ROM drive. The company says the typical configuration will start at $1,089 for this model.

The second model, the Dimension 4500S, is designed to fit in smaller spaces, as its mini-tower chassis can be positioned horizontally or vertically. Starting at $789, the Dimension 4500S includes an Intel Celeron processor at 1.7GHz, with Pentium 4 processors (at 1.7GHz and 2.0GHz) available by early June, the company says.

Other features of the 4500S include up to 1G byte of DDR SDRAM, six integrtated USB 2.0 ports, hard drives of either 20G, 40G, 80G or 120G bytes. Optical drive options include a DVD+RW/CD-RW combination drive, a DVD+RW/+R and DVD-ROM/CD-RW combination drive, a CD-RW, DVD-ROM or 48x CD-ROM drive.
