ADS Technology recently launched its Hi-Speed USB 2.0 WebCam at Intel's Fall 2002 developer's forum. ADS says the camera is capable of using the USB 2.0 bandwidth and provide 30 frames per second of uncompressed video at VGA (640 by 480 pixels) resolution.
The camera will be available by the end of September at ADS' Web site and at retailers for about $70. The camera includes a tripod, and bundled software will let users stream video over the Internet, set up live Web cams, video conferences or send video e-mail.
