Ositech Communications says it will ship in October its USB Cellular Data Cable with Charger for cell phones. The charger lets users connect their cell phones to their laptops. This connection lets you recharge the cell phone from the notebook, as well as use the phone's wireless connection for the notebook for Internet data.

USB-to-laptop.jpgThe company says the cable takes advantage of the notebook's AC power supply, and leaves the phone fully operational during charging. On the data side, the connectivity lets users send/receive e-mail, send faxes and access the Internet from their laptop through the mobile phone. Software is included to monitor, control and customize the cell phone charging.

Ositech says the USB Cellular Data Cable is compatible with many PIM and phone synchronization software, as well as many different Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Kyocera and Ericsson cell phones. The cable costs $79. Go to Ositech's Web site for more details.
