Minolta Corp. recently announced its new Minolta DiMAGE Xi digital camera. The 3.2 megapixel camera includes a seamless zoom range of 12x (3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom), and Minolta says it has the world's fastest start-up time (1.2 seconds). The 3x optical zoom is equivalent to a 37mm to 111mm on a regular 35mm camera.

Minolta DiMAGE Xi digital cameraThe 3.2 megapixel camera will produce images at 150 dpi at 10- by 14-inches. Users can also add audio to still images and make movie clips with the camera. The DiMAGE Xi includes a 16M-byte Secure Digital memory card, and also has a slot for MultiMedia Cards. For more information on the new camera, go to Minolta's Web site. Pricing and availability were not announced.
