Toshiba ships two new notebooks

Toshiba's Computer Systems Group recently announced availability of the Satellite 1410/1415 Series and Satellite 2410-S203. The notebooks are aimed at students, families and small and midsize businesses looking for powerful notebooks, Toshiba says.

ToshibaSatellite1410Angle.jpgThe 1410/1415 Series features an Intel Celeron 1.8GHz processor, and the 2410-S203 features a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 processor -M at 1.8GHz. Both models include 256M bytes of RAM. Other features include a built-in DVD-ROM/CD-RW multi-function drive and a 15-inch TFT display.

Other features of the 1410-S173 and 1415-S173 series include:

  • 30G-byte hard disk
  • RAM expandable up to 512M bytes
  • NVIDIA GeForce4 420 graphics card with 16M-bytes of VRAM
  • Optional 802.11b connectivity
  • Integrated V.92/56K bit/sec. modem and Ethernet LAN
  • Windows XP Home (1415-S173) or Windows XP Professional (1410-S173)
  • Starting price: $1,399 for the 1415-S173, $1,479 for the 1410-S173

    Other features of the 2410-S203 include:

  • 30G-byte hard drive
  • RAM expandable up to 1,024M bytes
  • NVIDIA GeForce4 420 graphics card with 16M-bytes of VRAM
  • Optional 802.11b wireless connectivity
  • Integrated V.92/56K bit/sec modem and Ethernet LAN
  • Windows XP Professional
  • Starting price: $1,679
