Network World Fusion, 10/15/02

If you've seen any of Apple's "switch ads" and are jealous of the guy who says that iPhoto is so easy to use , you might want to check out Ashampoo's Illuminator 1.5 for Windows.

The makers claim that the product can do for Windows what iPhoto does on Mac OS, plus with additional features. The image viewing and media management software lets users view images in any format, and quickly convert them to other formats. You can also take your images and turn them into multimedia slide shows by adding sounds, or screen savers, or burn them onto a CD.

The software supports Windows 95, 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP, Ashampoo says. For more information and to download a trial version (30-days, full version is $40), head to the Ashampoo Web site.
