So, you've fallen in love with the Macintosh switch ads, and you want to go buy a Mac. But what about all those files, folders and settings on your old PC?
Detto Technologies says it has an answer -- it announced shipment of its Move2Mac software that handles the PC-to-Mac migration. The product works with Mac OS X version 10.2 ("Jaguar") or later, and migrates music, photos, files, folders and settings from a PC and integrates them into the Mac, Detto says. Browser, desktop and e-mail settings are also configured.
The system includes software and a USB cable. The software lets users with Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP move to the Mac. Support for Windows 95 users via a parallel-to-USB cable will be available by the end of the year, Detto said. The software costs $59.95 and will be available in mid-November through the Apple Store , and other retailers. Go to the Detto Web site (www.detto.com) for more details.
