When you have your Palm in its cradle charging, why not make it work for you too? SplashData recently announced SplashClock, a customizable desk clock application for Palm OS handhelds (Palm OS 3.5 or higher). The software automatically launches when the handheld is charging in its cradle, and shows a semi-transparent clock with a slideshow of personal images in the background.

splashclock.jpgThe software supports standard (160 by 160 pixels), Hi-Res (320 by 320 pixels) and Hi-Res+ (320 by 480 pixels) displays. SplashData also makes SplashPhoto, a Palm OS-based image viewer. SplashClock can display SplashPhoto PDB images and regular JPEG images.

The application costs $5 (limited time) and is available at the SplashData Web site. A free 30-day trial version is also available.
