SonicBlue recently launched its "home theater in a box," the Rio HT2030. The all-in-one system combines a VCR, progressive scan DVD/CD player, an AM/FM stereo digital tuner with 30 presets, a cable-ready television tuner and 350 watt 5.1 channel amplifier into one device. The system comes with two-way satellite speakers and a passive subwoofer and remote control.
Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby ProLogic and Dolby ProLogic II audio decoders are included on the HT2030, SonicBlue said. Audio and video outputs (including progressive component, audio/video composite and S-video) reside o the box as well. The HT2030 costs $499.99 (with a $40 mail-in rebate). For more information on the system, go to the SonicBlue Web site.
