We normally don't cover furniture in this space, but we couldn't resist with this announcement.
Anthro Corp. has introduced its Adjustable iCart II, which has a spherical shape that aims to complement computers like the new iMac. It's also aimed at users who have limited space -- it has an additional back shelf to create extra space for gadgets (iPod, PDA, digital camera). Lower shelves can also be added for things like printers, batteries, etc., the company says.
The iCart II also has an air gas cylinder that can raise the desk from 27 inches up to 37 inches for situations where you might want people to stand (in a lobby, kiosk, etc.). The iCart II comes standard with a "powder-coated wood shelf, a silver-metallic steel trunk, a polished aluminum star base, and five 3-inch chrome steel hood castors (two that lock).
The company offers two models -- the 29-inch model costs $449, and the 40-inch model costs $469. Go to the Anthro Web site for more details.
