Plus Vision Corp. of America recently announced a new version of its 2-lb. projector line. The new V-1100 is an XGA resolution (1,024 by 768 pixel) projector that has 1,000 lumens of brightness and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio. The company said it uses Texas Instruments' 0.7-inch DDR Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology.
The projector also has four-way digital keystone correction (vertical and horizontal) and a short-focus lens, Plus Vision said. It has a digital video interface (DVI), and supports the video standards 480p, 780p and 1080i High Definition Imaging. Other features include picture-in-picture and digital zoom. The projector includes video and audio cables, a remote control and carrying case. The V-1100 costs about $3,000, the company said. For more information, go to the Plus Vision Web site.
