For under $50, end users can now convert analog video (such as videotapes) into digital video formats with a new device from AverMedia Technologies.
The company announced its AVerDVD EZMaker card, a $49.99 PCI Card. The device also comes with software for real-time DVD recording and burning, as well as the ability to burn MPEG-2 video. Other features include capturing video at 720 by 480 pixels, and re-editing recorded DVDs. AVerMedia says the device works with both CD and DVD burners.
The EZMaker comes with neoDVDstandard 4.0 software, which lets users add titles, transition effects, background music and importing of DV, AVI, QuickTime and MPEG files directly into their video projects. Go to the AVerMedia Web site for more details.
