Sprint this week launched an on-demand multimedia application that lets users of its PCS Vision network to watch up-to-date breaking news, finance, weather, sports and entertainment information from their phones. The downloadable J2ME application (1KTV) costs $3.95 for 30 days, Sprint said.
Sprint says that categories will be added based on current events, such as an "Iraq Update" category. The application works on all PCS Vision-enabled phone, Sprint added. The application can be launched by clicking "News" on the Vision Landing Page, or accessed under the "Media Mall" section.
