I am already a sprint customer. I am about to get a nextel because everyone is using them. I mean first people were all about sprint, but now that they have that i95c with the color screen, sprint can forget about it. I am getting a nextel also and I still will continue to keep my sprint phone. They said they were coming out with one soon, but the end of 2003 is too late. Nextel is now in more than ever. Hurry up Sprint!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and catch up!!
Posted by: rae on April 3, 2003 04:47 PMyour website sucks it dosent have my phone alright
Posted by: aa on April 3, 2003 08:17 PMVery cool phones. To bad cricket aint carrying anything.
Posted by: chris on April 10, 2003 11:31 AMFirst off, Sprint charges way too much for their phones. I would like Sprint to offer a phone like Nextel where I can have two phone lines on one phone. I need two phone numbers for different states I work in and dont want to carry two cell phones. Nextel allows you to have two numbers on one phone. The only way I've been able to deal with this is to call forwarde one phone to the other. But Sprint charges 10 cents per minute for call forwarding!!! Sprint has the worse phone hell I've ever encountered. The dont want to let their customers speak to a live person and try to force you to use their website and phone hell annoying computerized operator for everything. I find this very insulting. They are about to loose me as a customer.
Posted by: Lance on April 11, 2003 03:28 AMA man called me a month ago And took all my information everything! Then they were supposed to send me a phone with a two year agreement @ 45 dollars a month. It has been 1 month ago i was supposed to recieve it. I still have not recieved it. This phone i was supposed to recieve was 150 dollar value with call waiting call forwarding etc. they ask for your ss to supposedly confirm who you are......
i want my damn phone.....
Jessica,
What happened to you has happened to many. The sales people don't always tell you about a deposit you are required to put down if your credit isn't EXCELLENT. When I started with Sprint like 4 years ago I had to put down 125 for my deposit after about a year they applied the money to my account but most carriers don't want you to welch on your phone so they make you put the deposit on there to make sure you are serious. More than likely you'll have to pay a couple hundred dollar deposit to whomever sold you that phone service on the phone.

Posted by: sam on August 4, 2003 03:49 PMI work at a place where we offer both Cingular and Sprint service. People are always complaining that Sprint phones are too expensive and they want the free phone deal (for Cingular). But honestly, you will get what you pay for. They come back in less than 3 months and wonder why it doesnt work. At least Sprint offer good quality phones (now that LG no longer makes Sprint phones) and are worth the price. As for Nextel, this is the first time I have ever heard of them. Ive been looking for information on them and what kind of network they are using but I havent been able to find anything. If anyone can offer any information, I would appreciate it.
Posted by: Andrew on August 11, 2003 12:16 AMwell lets see , if you people have sprint like i do you are completely unsatisfied, your phone drops calls like a drunkin mother on a bike might drop her child, the only way to salvage any respect from them ,which isnt much, you should go right in to the store and kick the manager in the nutz.. just kidding, well it is not him who created it.ok here it is call *2 i believe and some how talk to a human, i believe blurting out cancelation will get you there.hahah but it cost me 2 bucks to talk to a service person. tell him you want to cancal, he will try his best to tell you well there is nothing we can do about your problem.. stick to your guns and ask for the "cancelation department", they will take you info... now this is where it is nessasary to have some good cojones cause it feels as if you are screwing yourself into not having a pohone, but they will transfer you to the other department , he will again repeat you information and ask you if this is what you want to do, then ,and only then, he will say these very words, well before i cancel your account is there anything i can do to keep you as a costomer, then you tell him all your issues, at this point he will say , well we do have these "unadvertised plans" and that is where it goods they even allow modifications on the plans he offers you. i know this is a lot of trouble, i am still not happy but these plans will make you tolerate them enopugh to get you threw your contract until you find a new suitable partner to use... many of my friends have done this....... good luck...
Posted by: phil on August 20, 2003 05:55 PMI have Sprint now and I hate it. I was thinking of going to Verizon. What do you think about their services as compared to Sprint?
Posted by: Karla on August 25, 2003 12:28 PMI've been using Sprint for about 5 years now. Contrary to the posts here, my calls are all crisp and dropped calls just don't happen. I have always bought the top-of-the-line phones, so maybe this is the differences (Currently using the SPH I300). And I have to admit it was kinda dicouraging when I was looking for phones for the kids, but I ultimately found a couple of reasonable ones at BestBuy that worked with Sprint. Now for the bad news: The service is absolutely too high. Every company in the world but sprint has a decent "anytime" plan by now, and every time you upgrade the service to match the capabilities of your new phone, they force you into a new 2-year contract. Even if you don't have any plans to change, it's still offensive to be forced into something. Also, the last time I upgraded the plan they changed my night-time minutes from starting at 8:00 PM to starting at 9:00 PM. After a few months when I finally caught on and called to hear that "We no longer offer that." Now that, pissed me off. As far as the Customer Service complaints, it's gotten A LOT better in the past couple of years. There for a while it was a guaranteed one hour or more on hold before you got to talk to your semi-responsive CS rep. Now it's usually 3 to 10 mins. So, I guess in conclusion, I would say they don't suck, but there appears to be better value out there for the dollar and I will be looking around myself in the next few months.
Posted by: Sprint User on October 1, 2003 05:24 AMI've been a sprint customer for about 4 years. Although I have never had a problem with dropping call, my problems lies with the piece of s|-|it samsung phones (especially the n200). Between my wife and i over the last year and a half we have had 7 of these phones. DON'T GET IT!!! What REALLY pissis me off is i'm stuck replacing my phone every six months because it locks up on me, then I have to find a way to get all my phone numbers... I did the "call and cancel" routine and it worked... DO THIS IF YOU HAVE TIME!!!
Has anyone called this guy, and if so, is he legit?

Posted by: Wighty on October 3, 2003 11:50 AMI am also a sprint customer and several months ago my phone went out on me. It all started with the display going out and in a few days the whole phone a peice of crap samsung 460 ..then i called the sprint store they said come in and we'll see what we can do..so i did they gave me a "refurbished" phone same model..well it wasnt but two days later it was doing the same damn thing the other one had done so i called them again and finaly got a new phone it had to be shipped to my house because for some reason the store cannot just give you one from their inventory..anyways i had to call sprint i think *2 and talk button the cs rep helped me programm the phone and he also said he would let me try the ringers and more feature for free for 3 months at first i didnt want to but he said it was free for 3 months and i could just call and cancel before the 3 months was up so i agreed..well i called after the second month and was told that it was removed from my account..but on that fourth month i was charged for it i called again and they said ok sir we'll take it off..to make a long story short i agreed to try it back in march of this year and only today was i promised again that it was finaly off today being october 22nd ...i am truly unhappy with the sprint service but i am also in a dsmn contract untill december..but i promise i will nevedr even look in sprints direction again.

IT ALL STARTS WITH THE PHONE I ALWAYS GET THE TOP OF THE LINE, AND ITS NOT BECAUSE IM RICH. ITS BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS SO RELIABLE THAT I GAVE UP MY HOME PHONE 3+ YEARS AGO! Posted by: PEPSI on December 5, 2003 11:34 PMSprint sucks!! If you have a choice, go with another company. Sprint has bad service, continuous dropped calls, overproced, bad customer service, bad customer service, and bad customer service. Don't get into any contracts with them. They WILL screw you over!!
Posted by: Veronica on December 8, 2003 04:50 PMi have sprint and it is awful, what i hate is you have no real deals to keep you as a customer, i actually had a *2 guy tell me the only way he could help me was to break my phone and get a repaired one! this is beyond awful! as soon as my contract is up i am going to someone antone else, sprint if you dont want to go out of business get a clue!
Posted by: emily on December 10, 2003 08:29 PMI have sprint for 3 years, and always pay money to upgrade to a supposedly new and better phone. Every time I get a phone, it is a piece of crap and breaks in a week or two. Somehow recently, they screwed me and told me that I didnt sign up for insurance. Now I have to pay an outrageous amount to get a new phone. The service at our local store is horrible. I took the phone that is broke right now into them four times in 3 months, and recently waited an hour for them to throw the phone back at me, and tell me that it has moisture damage, and that I am screwed. It is cheaper to break your contract, then to stay with these people.
Posted by: sprinthater on January 28, 2004 12:39 AMI have been a Sprint customers for so many years I can't recall. However, everytime I have a problem , they fix it but now without having me resign an agreement with them... what a scam.
I have had to purchase three different phones, no rebate allowed because I am an existing customer. You would think they would want to reward me to stay. After 90 days my phone stopped charging, I went to the store who asked I had power to the outlet.. oh boy why didn't i think of that. They sent a refurbished phone that did the same thing within 30 days. Now I am told if i want another phone I have to sign a 2-year agreement, because mine is up the end of Feb 2004. What a joke. I will leave them and go to Verizon. The plan I have with sprint is great. the phone Samsung N400 is crap. But can't figure out how my plan is $50 a month but after all their fees and taxes, my bill is $74 dollars a month..And on top of that My phone does not function, it is always searching for service.
I am so glad for number portability. I can say Goodbye to sprint and not my number.
Of course I minutes in the verizon plan, but actually, I lose minutes every month with Sprint, since i pay their charges but do not use any minutes... had to use minutes when the phone will not work, or cannot find service. Sprint is not my reccommended wireless provider.
I will see to it that the 15 people i referred to them throughout the years, know about the way they ignore their existing customers to only concentrate on new business, once they have that business you are no longer important to them.
I don't know where you guys live but in Los Angeles, CA, my reception with Sprint is AMAZING. I get clean calls all the time and probably have about one dropped call every month or two. Here in L.A, At&T and Cingular suck the most, with Verizon and Nextel coming in a close second, T-Mobile is alright. I guess its just where in the country you live. However its true about the plans at Sprint being high, that bites, especially the billion dollars they charge you for PCS service, and the phones are expensive too, without offering upgrades! Anyway I think its well worth how awesome my phone works compared to my friends who have all the other companies. My other complaint is why they have the stupidest people working at the Sprint store, hello training might be a little helpful! I took my broken phone into a Sprint store where the guy told me that my phone was discontinued, so that I had to call Sprint for them to send me one because they "probably" had one in stock. So i called Sprint and they told me that they could not do anything about it because he should have given me one at the Sprint store. So I think Sprint should train their employees better, but I love my phone and my service!
Posted by: Ayshen on March 14, 2004 05:19 PMI think that ll the people that say sprint sux must live in the mountians because i like in Washington dc and i always get a perfect signal with my fone. Oh and for all the retards that try taking there fone back to sprint to get a replacement dont do that just get a used one off ebay. Sprint has only messed my bill up once and they credited my account so i didnt even have to pay next months bill. Thank god for unlimited pcs to pcs i used 5592 minutes last month and i get 400 minutes a month and my nights starting at 7 and unlimited pcs to pcs all for $40 a month. Right now im using a sanyo rl 2000 which was an upgrade from my qualcomm qcp-2760 sprint kicks ass i dont know whats wrong with the rest of yall.
Posted by: Anthony C. on March 19, 2004 01:58 AMAnd you all talk about sprint fones being expensive at least sprint has free fones nextel doesnt and the cheapest nextel fone is $100 and lets not forget that $75 activation fee.
Posted by: Anthony C on March 19, 2004 02:00 AMI have no problem with Sprint dropping calls on me. I live in Memphis, don't know if this has anything to do with it. My complaint is the phones. They are way to expensive and unreliable. My wife and I have Samsung A460's, we each had our screens go out in just over a year. The cheapest Sprint phone now is $129.99. Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon each offer phones as little as $29.99 and $49.99. Nokia makes the best phones I feel.

Posted by: sameer aref on May 10, 2004 10:40 PMSprint is bad...bad....bad.....do not sign any contract with them. Bad customer service. They do not vare for the existing customers/ I have a phone which is old and does not work on the new line....no credit offerd by sprint and they want me to purchase one from them.
Posted by: Atul on June 5, 2004 12:51 AMI have been a Sprint customer for about a year and a half. I left the country to travel for five months and I didn't want to lose my cell number or pay to have to start the plan again when I returned. Sprint told me to get the vacation plan and I would be charged only $5.00 a month and that's it. When I got back I went back to my old plan but they ended up charging me $60 to turn the service back on. That was the reason I went on the vacation plan in the first place, so I wouldn't have to pay for new service again! What a bunch of scammers! Thankfully I don't have a contract. I'll leave at the end of the month for a prepaid Virgin Mobile phone.
