Network World Fusion, 03/25/03

NEC-Mitsubishi this week launched a 19-inch monitor, the MultiSync LCD1980SX. The professional-level monitor costs $999.99, and is aimed at financial centers, call centers, graphic design, medical and public display markets.

1980sx.jpgThe LCD1980SX includes NEC-Mitsubishi's NaViSet software, which lets users adjust display settings with a mouse and keyboard instead of via the monitor buttons. The administrator software includes Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to let IT officials have remote control and access to the monitor. The monitor also includes cables that are longer, so a monitor can be located up to 326 feet (100 meters) away from users.

The monitor delivers images at a native resolution of 1,280 by 1,024 pixels at 60Hz, NEC-Mitsubishi said. The monitor has viewing angles up to 170 degrees, and has a height-adjustable stand. The monitor will be available at the end of March through resellers. Go to the NEC-Mitsubishi Web site for more information.
