Other World Computing today announced a new line of Mercury Elite FireWire + USB 2.0/1.1 Combo storage drives, with storage up to 250G-bytes. The company also reduced prices on some of its other hard drives.
The company said the largest drive it had before was 120G-bytes – the new line includes models with 160G-, 180G-, 200G- and 250G-bytes. The 7,200 rpm drives include two FireWire ports and one USB port, support Apple OS v8.5-9.2.x, as well as OS X 10.0.3 and higher. The devices also support Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 and XP.
Pricing for the new devices range from $339.99 (for the 160G-byte drive with 2M-bytes of cache), up to $479.99 (for the 250G-byte with 8M-bytes of cache). For more information, go to the Other World Computing Web site.
