Sprint today said it is now shipping the Hitachi G1000 (full name – Windows Mobile-based PCS Phone by Hitachi Model SH-G1000). The G1000 is a Pocket PC with a wireless phone, rotating camera and built-in keyboard all combined into a single device.

The device comes with Windows Mobile software for Pocket PC, 32M bytes of memory, a 400MHz Intel xScale processor, a 65,000-color TFT display. The camera is a VGA camera (640 by 480 resolution). The G1000 also includes a Secure Digital expansion slot.
