Network World Fusion, 08/19/03

If you’re sick of carrying around your laptop in a shoulder-style laptop bag, you might want to look at a new lightweight laptop backpack. Targus this week launched its new T-Lite series of backpacks that are also sturdy enough to hold notebook computers. Each backpack in the series weighs less than 3 pounds, aimed to add as little weight as possible.

Targus-T-Lite.jpgThe designs include room for a CD player (including a hole for headphones), pockets for storing accessories, a side access water bottle pocket. In addition, there are different backpacks to store notebooks of different sizes, including larger 15-inch models. The Deluxe T-Lite model includes a removable padded slipcase for the notebook, and also has a removable mobile phone case.

The backpacks start at $39.99, and are available at retailers nationwide, Targus said. Go to the Targus Web site for more details.
