AT&T Wireless this week became the third carrier to ship the PalmOne Treo 600, a converged device (cell phone plus PDA). The AT&T version runts on its GSM/GPRS network and includes features such as e-mail, Web browsing and text messaging.

The Treo 600 from AT&T Wireless costs $499.99 (after $50 instant rebate) with a service plan starting at $12.99 per month, AT&T Wireless said.

The Treo 600 is a quad-band smart phone (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) that lets users make and receive calls around the world, the company said. To check on what roaming countries are available, click here.

Other carriers offering the Treo 600 include Sprint (CDMA 1x version) and Cingular (GSM/GPRS).
